The Perfect Night ... I am engaged :)

I had a really amazing weekend ! Most of you who follow my blog know a ton about my kids and my life. Something HUGE happened to me and my family this weekend. Robert proposed! Robert and I have been seeing each other for a year now. It has been the sweetest year of my life ! I knew that this would be coming at some point but how sweet of him to propose on the one year anniversary of our first date. One year before , I was on facebook and discovered a pic of him playing a stand-up string bass. A mutual friend had posted the picture and I have a real weakness for anyone who can play that instrument :) I left a comment saying that if they ever played somewhere I would love to come hear them. The comment got us talking, and after several awesome conversations he invited me to his house where several musicians/friends would be playing and singing. I knew that it would be fun ! The music that happened that night changed my life. It was like going home. After I heard Robert sing.... I think I fell in love. He suggested that we should have the same people come over for our first anniversery to re-create our first musical date and relive that perfect evening. What a fabulous idea :) The music was equally magical and in between two songs that are really special to us..... Robert got down on one knee and said " Will you marry me ? " I have been waiting my whole life for the love of this man :) He is kind, good, spiritual, musical... he loves my kids.... I love his kids... and HE lOVES ME :) I am probably the most blessed woman alive !!!! My sweet friend Laura Stetser , a pixel chick, had called and come to visit so she captured the night moment by moment, and then did a session with Robert and I the next day :) Robert had contacted all my pixel chicks and had them text me at a certain time the phrase "welcome to true love " I am sooooooooo happy !!!!
