More Chocolate curls

This is Katie :) Her mom called and wanted to set up a shoot and I went through some of the questions I ask to get a sense of who I am trying to shoot and why and get an idea in my head of what I want to do based on the answers I hear. When her momma told me about her coloring and those chocolate curls my mind started racing !! The first vision that popped into my head was a scene from a movie where there was a child running through a hanging line of clean laundry, white sheets.... the child was running their little hand along the white sheets and the sound was completley turned off except the sound of the child laughing. I wondered if I hung a canopy from a tree in a grassy meadow would it give the same effect with a little more fairy princess feel . That is what I wanted to try and if it wasn't working we could adjust. I just loved it !!! This little precious gave me such a range of expression I couldn't wait to see what she might do next.

I saw little katie sitting like this and wanted to do some shots that featured those beautiful curls and I got so much more than I bargained for :) Her little sleepy faces were too cute ! I wanted to sing her to sleep and kiss her face off !!

I asked little Katie when I had gotten all the pictures that were in my head if there were any that she wanted. She knew exactly what she wanted . She wanted a pic riding her tricycle. I love it ! This last one is for you Katie !!!! Thank you for a great time !! Amy I am so glad you and your mom came to the session. I had such a wonderful time with you. One of the greatest parts about this job is really connecting to people. I already had a connection to your mom because there was a chapter where she was so kind to one of my babies... and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Katie has some really good examples of what a good woman is right in front of her. What a blessing !!! Thank you for choosing me :)
