Beautiful Dana

Dana decided to go with a mini session... Isn't she beautiful ? Dana is one of those people that when I first met her after a teeny amount of time I felt I had known her my whole life. She is so open hearted and just good. There are times when you meet people that you can just feel goodness from them and you just know them without knowing them... well... she was one of those :) Now, she is my friend and any excuse to spend some time with her is good for me :) !!!

Still waiting on a baby...

Just thought I would give my faithful readers an update.. Poor Ellie is still waiting and so am I.

The Beautiful Davis house..

She took pictures of the BEAUTIFUL Davis House where the Pixel Chick's were shooting when they were here at my house. I have admired this house for so many years and it was such a special treat to use it as a backdrop while my best photography friends were here visiting. I MISS YOU GUYS!! I really only enjoy taking pictures of people. I always say if it doesn't have eyes, I don't want to shoot it !! One track mind..

Ok, please forgive me if I have a one track mind these days... We are so close to getting our precious baby. We went to the doctor today and she is making progress... so we are closer :) The end is always sooo hard ! It is so much harder watching than going thru it yourself. I wish I could do it for her. We came home from the doctor and walked until she couldn't walk anymore and then we just wait some more... I decided to edit a few more from the other night.. As you can see I have had quite a bit of time with these images. :) I hope you all will be patient with me... My baby girl is having a baby girl... :)

security blankets....

I got a call in the middle of the night to come downstairs and unlock the back door because one of my college babies was there. I sleep with my phone in case they need me and I sleepily go down the stairs to see her outside the door and hope everything is ok. I ask her and she just says it was a hard day and she wanted to come home :) She climbs in my bed and after giving me a big hug , she falls asleep. A short time later my pregnant baby comes into my room because contractions woke her up. They are not amounting to anything, we think ,but they are uncomfortable and they seem less scary if you are with people who love you ..so she climbs into my bed on the otherside :) It has been years since my babies did this... As a momma of teeny kids you experience this kind of thing on a daily basis and when they grow up you assume they will not need you and you think hearing them breathe when they sleep is completely over... Well, I recieved a gift last night and into this morning. I found out that even as old as they are being near the people that love you the most still brings enough calm and peace that you can let go and just sleep. I am so thankful to still be on their list. As parents, we are guaranteed that we will mess up along the way. We are only human. We can only enjoy every stage as it comes because the next stage is coming and we can not do anything to slow down it's arrival. The only consistent is that we love them and enjoy them.... That is something that covers a multitude of sins... Just feeling thankful and thought I would share and encourage you to go enjoy your kids today. It is an investment that will bring peace and comfort to you forever :)

KODAK Picture of the Day !!!!

This is my 5th Kodak picture of the day :) I usually recieve an email letting me know that it has been chosen and it usually comes far enough in advance that I could plan a trip to New York to see it. I am not sure why I went to the website and decided to look to see who was being displayed and guess what .... IT IS MY PICTURE!!! This is Mallory and she has been displayed now TWICE on the three story billboard in Time Square in New York as a POTD ! I won last spring with a picture of her and her siblings .... This is such a big honor. It was maybe one of the coolest moments being in such a cool place and seeing my name as the photographer and my image displayed so wonderfully. THANK YOU, Kodak for choosing to display my work !!!! YEA!!!

We are waiting on Sky Noel ....

Ellie is 37 weeks pregnant and we are waiting and waiting. Today was wonderfully warm and I decided to do one more photosession with Ellie. I have taken a very limited amount of sessions so that I can be ready at any moment to meet little Sky Noel. I am so used to shooting everyday that it was sooo nice to pick up my camera today. The end of a pregnancy is so hard. All the aches and pains and the anxiousness of wondering how the delivery will be. This was the prefect distraction. I am and will be shamelessly using the skyline in as many images as possible when it comes to my grandbaby Sky Noel. I thought the sky was sooo beautiful this evening. If you think about it when you pray tonight .... pray for my Ellie and an easy delivery :) I already have ideas for little Sky's first pictures :) I can not wait to meet her and to take her picture.

A little view into all the fun this weekend with my Pixel Chicks :)

This has been a weekend I will remember forever. My dear, dear friends and our cameras :) It doesn't get much better than that. Six of us got to make it and we missed you ( Sherry, Denise, Ali, and Hayley !!!!!) Megan, Alli, Julie, Laura ,Candy and me.. we had so much fun !! Creative ideas were bouncing around like crazy.. The only thing is that there just wasn't enough time in the day. I think we packed a ton in on the time we had. We shot a model.. my melody .. in a beautiful Historical house ! We got to have a session with a gorgeous baby, a teenage boy, a dancer.. and a boudoir session. I am about to have my Elegant Expressions Website up and running. I love those sessions. It is so special to have the opportunity to create beautiful elegant images ... They were beautiful :) Keep watching for the new site.

We had sweet little Zeeke come over and our very own Megan Peck (the baby whisperer ) Did her thing !! It has been so fun to see my chicks work.. Julie took some awesome shots in the studio too.. I snuck my camera in for a couple of shots but you will see more of Zeeke on their blog . :)







We found a old warehouse and it is a great spot for some senior shots.. I love them because we borrowed my baby boy Elijah and more of Melody with Michael :) As a momma I just love pic's of my babies :) Check out my other chick blog's they got some FABULOUS shots of my kids !!!!!!!! Alli has a fish eye lens.. I WANT ONE! Look at these cool images :) This lens creates such fun pic's. I have a new toy on my want list !!






We had so many beautiful people to shoot this weekend. Laura and I had so much fun with Christen. We took her to a field and tried to get some shots with her in motion. She was such a great sport ! IT was FREEZING and she wasn't wearing much to keep her warm but LOOK at her... Beautiful and Strong !!! FUN ,FUN, FUN!!
