What do all these images have in common ? They are all precious new people under two weeks old. Babies are always gifts ! Every human life deserves a celebration. There is nothing sweeter than tiny toes, fingers, the tops of their little heads and squeaky noises babies make in that first few weeks. I enjoyed that time so much with my five children and it makes me so happy to come into the houses of my clients when they are celebrating a new person and capture all the things about them that make them who they are. Babies truly are the most wonderful way to start people. Even when they are unexpected it is all in God's plan and they are always a gift . I have always been so thankful that my children were given to me. I know God could have given them to anyone and He chose me . It is so good and right to marvel at the miracle of being chosen to be a momma. Enjoy a few newborn images I have been blessed to take..

Have you ever felt the need for safety? Today I began to try to remember times in my life when I felt safe. Where does safety live. I thought about all the church services I have been in and felt completely wrapped in safety and security. I have a real curiousity with the entry ways of churches and with the thoughts from childhood in my head I got in my car and started in my little town where I have always loved these red doors at this local church and how they are so welcoming. I brought my camera so I could freezeframe how the doors made me feel. It was so nice I got to thinking about a trip I made to the High Museum on Peachtree st last week and how much I admired all the church entry ways to the many different Churches on Peachtree st. I had my camera and decided to just go in search of these little peices of safety. I was blessed to be raised by a good Daddy who is also a preacher. What a gift to have been given a sheltered life where I was surrounded by Godly compassionate people.
Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest

I have recieved some news ........ I need to spend some time with my family. I will not be taking any new appointments for a season to spend time with my kids and take care of the people I love. I know many of you have followed my blog and are so kind to check in and see who has been photographed and I am so grateful ! I hope you will not forget about me and most of all you will pray for my family.
I have spent the last few days in Huntsville, Alabama. This is the hometown to Heather and Ben Bookout. They are not only kind, good, Jesus filled people but have a very sucessful Photography business. Heather's work had inspired me long before I knew she had a heart for teaching other photographers. Some of my Pixel Chick girls and I planned a trip to go hear what Heather had to say and learn together. I can't wait to share with you all that I am learning. I am still taking in all the information that was given and I can't wait to apply what I have learned and make my business better for all of us ! I absolutely love the photography business. What an honor take pictures of precious families and have the opportunity to get to know and record the sweet relationships of the families that come to me. I just love it ! I have been given encouragement and wisdom to know how to be even more effective and I am so thankful. I know God has a plan for each of his children and there are those that I have met along the way that I just have no doubt about who put them in my path and why... My Pixel Chicks hold that place in my heart. I am so thankful for good women who are also photographers who are willing to walk this path with me sharing the joy of photography..... and I am also sooooo thankful for those people that have walked on ahead of me and God makes sure my path crosses theirs and has laid it on their heart to be generous and kind enough to shine a light so I don't trip on the path they just went over. Thank you Heather ! The light is shining and I can see my path more clearly :) Thank you for being open and willing to God using you to help others like me. 
Leigh Ann and I have been friends for years. I have had several shoots with her sweet family. I always look forward to it ! She and Chip are such great parents. These little boys are in great hands. Leigh Ann is so patient with all the boys in her life. She is beautiful inside and out and you should hear her sing ! I miss hearing her sing... I really like hearing her speaking voice because it sounds just like she sings. She is a gifted musician and her little people are in a great gene pool. We decided to go to the river in the evening for the shoot. The light is so gloden and beautiful and two little boys had rocks to throw and water to splash in and bugs to look at. Does it get any better than that ? 
I love evening golden light... Isn't it beautiful ??

It is time for sweet Lucy's picture again... Look at this beautiful baby :) I just love a red head and Emily has two beautiful red headed girls !! I think this Christening gown is so beautiful . It was her Daddy's gown and what a honor for me to be included in this special time... Thank you for meeting me so early and I hope you enjoy seeing a few from our time together....
